MLS is rolling through its second month and the action is ramping up! Last week saw the final single-digit week of action; week nine had it all, multigoal games, scoreless draws, and dramatic comebacks. Let's take a look back at the highlights of week nine and look ahead to week 10!

MLS Matchday 9 highlights
A Full Saturday Slate
Week 9 started with an afternoon Western conference match between Portland and LAFC, then 11 matches throughout the evening. The marquee game was between Kansas City and Miami where over 72,000 came to a football stadium to see SKC take on the GOAT Messi. All that and more gave us a great MLS Saturday!

Two Sunday MLS matches
To end the matchday brought two matches that were on opposite ends of the spectrum. Atlanta looked to have a blowout on their hands, but Philly came back to earn a draw and almost a win. The second match saw two teams out west who were struggling a bit in St. Louis and Austin. There was only one goal in that match that ended the week.

With MLS progressing at a rapid pace, we are seeing just how close most teams are to each other in the standings. Miami sits atop the league with 15 points. However, between that place and 10th there is a difference of only three points. The margins between success and disappointment are super thin. Will we see those lines blurred even more on the 10th matchday?
