The Philadelphia Eagles did not end their 2025 season on a high note. From internal drama to a poor offensive display on the field, Philly had everything going wrong for them. Fortunately for them, last season is offically done and the new season is finally here. Which means that it's time for some bold predictions.
Here are my 13 bold predictions for the Eagles' 2026 season:
Eagles: Win-Loss Record
I have 12–5 for the Eagles. I think this is a team that should be in the mix for the NFC’s top seed again, and one that will be in every game.
Jalen Hurts: Passing TDs
Hurts gets to 30-plus passing touchdowns. I expect him to have a strong season throwing the ball. The new under-center offensive scheme, which allows more play action, will benefit the passing game, especially in the red zone.
Saquon Barkley: All-purpose yards
Barkley tops 1,600 all-purpose yards. He remains one of the biggest pieces of this offense, and I expect them to use his hands more than any other season since he arrived in Philadelphia. Saquon having 50+ receptions would not be surprising.
Tank Bigsby: All-purpose yards
Bigsby makes a real impact for Philly, finishing with more than 700 all-purpose yards. He has the talent, and if the Eagles pound the ball more, he should get more touches. That is all he needs to show off his skill set. He is itching to exploit defenses this season with his extra snap opportunities.
Quinyon Mitchell: Interceptions
We all know that Mitchell does not have any regular-season takeaways. But he will take a step forward in Year 3 and come away with at least five interceptions. Riq Woolen on the opposite side should afford Q a few more chances to get his hands on the ball.
Defense: Ranking
I think this Eagles defense finishes as a top-three unit in the NFL. There’s too much talent up front and in the secondary for it not to happen. They have disruptors, elite coverage defensive backs, and one of the best defensive minds in the game.
Offense: Ranking
The Eagles finish with a top-10 offense. Hurts, Barkley, Smith, and a deep group of weapons should keep this unit among the league’s better offenses. A new offensive coordinator and scheme should not hinder the unit, but rather bring it to a level that competes for another championship. I am very bullish on this offense.
DeVonta Smith: Receiving Yards and Touchdowns
Smith puts together a monster season, topping 1,250 receiving yards and scoring at least 10 touchdowns. He is back to being WR1 and will not disappoint.
Dontayvion Wicks: Receiving Yards
Wicks will be a useful addition to the passing game and finish with more than 500 receiving yards. He knows the system, built a rapport with Hurts during the summer, and should be a surprise to the many who had their doubts.
Makai Lemon: Receiving yards
Lemon has a big rookie season and finishes with at least 750 receiving yards. I would love to see Lemon break Smitty’s record of 916 rookie receiving yards, but it is hard to project that when you take into account the time he has missed over the summer. But I also do not think he is as far behind as many have stated.
Jalen Carter: Sacks
Carter gets to the quarterback more consistently and finishes with eight or more sacks. He earned the big check; now he wants to be a leader of the defense and earn the C. The production on the field will go a long way towards achieving that goal.
Jalyx Hunt: Sacks
Hunt is my breakout pick. Despite leading the Eagles in both sacks and interceptions in 2025, he is vastly underrated around the league. Hunt gets after the quarterback, reaches double-digit sacks, and becomes a household name.
Eli Stowers: Touchdowns
Stowers finds himself under heavy scrutiny after not having what some thought was a good summer. He has battled some injuries and is a little further behind than the team likely projected. But the tight end is too talented to stay down for long, and I believe he will find the end zone at least twice, giving the Eagles another weapon in the red zone.
