It looks like the Eagles don't believe in sleep as they added another weapon to their defense by signing LB Arnold Ebiketie. Ebiketie and the Eagles agreed to a one-year, $7.3 million deal with $4.3 million guaranteed. The former Falcons second-round pick of the 2022 NFL Draft will be joining a defensive line that is looking to build off of last season. With the youth continuing to develop in Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith, Ebiketie will slot in perfectly alongside them.
Ebiketie will most likely be a rotational piece for Fangio’s defense as Howie Roseman continues to search for a star edge rusher to fit the vision of this defensive line. He had a stellar season back in 2024, finishing with 6 sacks and 38 tackles, but his production took a bit of a dip in 2025.
Nonetheless, the Eagles may have found a diamond in the rough. Ebiketie has a quick burst off the line of scrimmage and a relentless motor to go with it. It would seem that if he can break training camp then he’ll be sharing snaps with Jalyx Hunt, Nolan Smith, and Brandon Graham. It’ll be interesting to see if the Eagles can unlock his potential on this one-year prove-it deal.
