The month of May will see the return of Third Thursdays at Glen Foerd, as all are invited to the grounds of the historic estate and public park for several evenings of entertainment, featuring live performances, local food, family activities including games and crafts and waterfront fun.
This year’s Third Thursday schedule begins May 21 and will continue on June 18, July 16, Aug. 20 and Sept. 17. Each week’s events are open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs as they enjoy the estate’s historic grounds and explore its Gilded Age mansion, which will be open for free self-guided tours.
Located along the Delaware River in Northeast Philadelphia, the Glen Foerd estate, built in 1850, is an 18-acre public park and historic site featuring gardens and an Italianate-Classical Revival-style mansion, among other structures.
The first Third Thursday of 2026 will feature food from El Torro Serrano and live music by Philadelphia-based dream pop/synth soft rock band The Noisy, along with arts and crafts activities for all ages, lawn games, and more. Food and drinks will be available on site for purchase, and Third Thursdays are pay-what-you-wish (recommended donation is $10) to attend. All donations help Glen Foerd continue to provide free community events throughout the year.
Attendees are asked to register in advance by visiting Glen Foerd’s events page at glenfoerd.org/events.
