PHILADELPHIA, PA - It was an absolutely beautiful day for baseball on Sunday afternoon.

As a packed house celebrated Mother's Day, the Phillies went to work trying to win their fourth straight series.

In the bottom of the first inning, the Phillies' offense continued where they had left off from a night prior.

A solo blast to deep center field gave Kyle Schwarber his 15th home run of the season.

Not to be outdone, Bryce Harper got in on the action. After exiting in the first inning of Saturday's ballgame, Harper didn't get a hit after a strong night at the plate Friday.

Harper caught up quickly, delivering another home run to deep center field.

Cristopher Sanchez

Coming off an eight inning shutout against the Athletics, Cristopher Sanchez picked right back up where he left off.

Sanchez cruised through the first few innings of the ballgame. In the top of the third, he faced his only test of the outing.

After back to back singles from the bottom of the Rockies order pulled slipped into left field, Sanchez dug deep. Retiring the next three hitters in order, Sanchez ended the Rockies' best threat of the day.

The biggest out was the final, getting Hunter Goodman, who had torched the Phillies all weekend long, to strike out swinging.

Philly's ace looked In free and easy, tossing seven innings of scoreless ball. In fact, Sanchez has now thrown 20.2 straight scoreless innings.

Final line for the Phillies' starter included seven innings pitched, six hits, zero runs, zero walks and seven strikeouts.

Sanchez has allowed two earned runs or less in each of his last 20 starts at Citizens Bank Park. This streak dates back to April 17, 2024.

Kyle Schwarber

For the second time in his career, Kyle Schwarber has homered in four straight ballgames.

It was the second straight year that he had a multi home run game on Mother's Day. Last season, Schwarber hit two against the Cleveland Guardians in the Phillies 3-0 victory.

Schwarber's second blast gave him his 13th multi home run game of his career. He is tied with Aaron Judge for the Major League Baseball lead with 16 home runs.

When Schwarber and Harper went back to back, it marked the third time the club had accomplished this feat in 2026.

Game Notes

Sunday's win over the Rockies gave the Phillies their 57th win on Mother's Day. They are now 57-59 all-time.
