The Associated Press (AP) announced the AP 2025 NFL All-Pro team on Saturday morning, featuring a pair of Philadelphia Eagles defensive backs, Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. It is a brief piece of good news the squad can celebrate to keep the energy high heading into Sunday afternoon’s playoff battle against the San Francisco 49ers at Lincoln Financial Field.
Mitchell, 24, is named to the All-Pro team after finishing as the runner-up to Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Jared Verse as the 2024 NFL AP Defensive Rookie of the Year. The Toledo product played 986 defensive snaps over 16 starts in Philly this season, accounting for 93% of all defensive downs in 2025. Mitchell finished sixth in the league with 17 defended passes, two shy of the NFL lead of 19 pass breakups set by Carolina Panthers CB Michael Jackson and Denver Broncos CB Riley Moss.
DeJean, 22, played 1,037 defensive snaps in his second season, representing 98% of defensive downs. The 2024 second-round draft selection also saw 99 snaps on the special teams unit in 2025. DeJean finished with 16 pass breakups, which ranks as the 10th-best for an individual defender in the 2025 campaign. He finished fourth in the voting for the 2024 NFL AP Defensive Rookie of the Year before sealing his status as an Eagles legend with a pick-six interception of Patrick Mahomes during Super Bowl LIX.
Philadelphia’s postseason opponent from San Francisco features two All-Pro athletes on the offensive side of the ball: fullback Kyle Juszczyk and running back Christian McCaffrey. Juszczyk, 34, receives his second All-Pro selection after playing 510 offensive snaps, nearly 45% of San Francisco’s total time with the ball. McCaffrey, 29, secures his third All-Pro selection from the AP after a 1,200+ yard rushing and 900+ yard receiving season featuring 17 trips into the painted endzone turf for 49ers points.
