Decision Day has come and gone and despite an anticlimactic 2-0 loss in Charlotte on the final day of the season, your
Philadelphia Union are 2025 MLS Supporters' Shield winners and will hold home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The road to the
MLS Cup runs through Subaru Park, where the Union feel confident against anyone put in their way, and on Sunday we learned the dates and times of their Round One Best-of-3 series against the winner of the Eastern Conference Wild Card game between Chicago Fire and Orlando City SC to be played this Wednesday October 22nd.

Game 1 nationally televised for Union-curious Philadelphia sports fans
A very real and justified complaint expressed by sports fans in the city of Philadelphia that haven't jumped on the
DOOP train just yet is the lack of accessibility to actually watch matches due to Major League Soccer's broadcasting deal with Apple TV, which puts all MLS games behind a pay-wall and inevitably ends up deterring a lot of curious fans from checking out a team that's making noise in a traditional 4-for-4 city altogether.
But for those whose interest was peaked by the
Blue and Gold lifting the 2025 Supporters' Shield a few weekends ago, which may also coincide with a Red October sized hole in their heart that's needing to be filled, hopefully the Union-Curious sports fans in the city of Brotherly Love find some excitement in the Union's opening game of the 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs being nationally televised on FS1 and readily available to tune into.
Playoff tickets now available
Of course, for those looking for the best way to watch the Union's first game of the MLS Cup Playoffs, there's no better place in the world to take in the action and atmosphere than from a seat within
Subaru Park.
Tickets are now available, and I'd expect a packed and
rowdy Subaru Park, despite the game kicking off just a few hours after the Eagles and Giants square off at Lincoln Finacial Field just a few miles north up I-95.
