Netflix is chock full of entertaining movies and shows, but Netflix House in King of Prussia puts Philadelphians right in the middle of them—and not just with its experiences, but with its menu as well.
The venue made its debut in the area last November, and brought with it a mixture of both free and paid encounters that transport visitors to different worlds. Guests can hop into a VR booth and take part in their own ‘Stranger Things’ adventure, play challenges from ‘Squid Games’, or head into an other-wordly battle with ‘Rebel Moon: The Descent’ in one section.
Or, there are also two hour-long experiences to jump headfirst into with ‘Wednesday: Eve of Outcasts’ and ‘One Piece: Quest for the Devil Fruit.’ The former takes visitors into a “twisted festival” complete with 13 different games in a carnival-like setting. Through the story, audiences can try their hand at puzzles, solving murder mysteries, and completing different quests to make it through to the end, all while roaming through Nevermore Academy. Then with ‘One Piece’, groups of 6 to 12 people can work together to complete an escape-room styled quest, all while traveling through 7 different locations from the show (which happens to be one of the longest-running ongoing shonen animes to date).
There’s also the Top 9 mini golf at Netflix House KOP, which features 9 different themed holes to work through with nods to ‘The Floor is Lava’, ‘Bridgerton’, ‘Love is Blind’, ‘Is It Cake?’, WWE and more.
But perhaps the most immersive, and tasty, way to really put yourself into the world of Netflix is through BITES, the venue’s bar and restaurant — and the fare here is just as flavorful as it is fun.
To start the day, the restaurant serves up some breakfast fare (10 a.m. to noon) with dishes like the Calzone of Perpetual Fortitude (which plays on a ‘Knives Out’ mystery), the Feathering French Toast (plucked right from the world of ‘Bridgerton’), picks from the Nevermore Baking Suite, plus smoothie and coffee choices.
For lunch and dinner, hungry pop culture fans also have a wide variety of options with “openers” like Killer Onion Dip (a nod to the Benoit Blanc ‘Glass Onion’ film), the Netflix Plot Twist (a two pound soft pretzel that feeds four to six people complete with dipping sauces), and a fun ‘Squid Game’ inspired app dubbed Red Bite, Green Bite where diners can spin a toy wheel to decide what dipping sauce to dunk their chicken bites into.
There’s also a wide variety of salads (like Emily’s Italian Fling and the Regency Garden Greens), pizza (one even has pickles and potato chips on it), and some smaller sides like house popcorn and tater tots. But for the main event, Netflix House serves up The Hellfire Club (a great pick for ‘Stranger Things’ fans), a WWE Smashed Burger, Sweet Magnolia Chicken & Waffles, Nonna’s Sunday Sauce (using a blend of sausage ragu and pecorino) and plenty more.
There is also a kids menu available, and for sweet finales, different desserts include a brown butter House Popcorn Cake, a gluten-free Scoops Ahoy milkshake and a dark chocolate raspberry bite called Rest in Chocolate.
The bar also leans into the themed fun as well. Cocktails include sips like Dalgona’s Gamble made with honeycomb-infused soju, Love at First Sip served in a golden goblet and a flavorful Spicy Little Secret (a margarita inspired by ‘The Hunting Wives’), plus plenty of other cocktails, mocktails, wine and beer.
Visitors can fuel up with it all while perusing through the venue’s different experiences, or plan to stop at Netflix House KOP for some upcoming free events like Quizzo (Tuesdays at 8 p.m.) or WWE at TUDUM Theater (Mondays at 8 p.m.) The venue also houses ticketed events, like Netflix is a Joke, and pre-screenings of certain shows or movies.
So whether you’re there to crack puzzles, swing through mini golf, or just sip on a cleverly themed cocktail, Netflix House King of Prussia blurs the line between screen time and real life in the best way possible.
