A group of men broke into a Chinatown building early Saturday morning and raped multiple people during a robbery, police said.

One of the suspects was captured on the roof of the property, and authorities on Monday released surveillance images of five other men wanted in connection with the attack.

Investigators said the incident happened just before 4:45 a.m. at the corner of 9th and Nobel streets, in a structure that reportedly hosts a massage parlor.

After forcing their way inside the building, the perpetrators allegedly sexually assaulted and robbed the victims at gunpoint, law enforcement officials said. The PPD did not specify the number of people harmed.

Officers responding to the scene apprehended 18-year-old Saidakhmad Bakiev, a Northeast Philadelphia resident, on the rooftop, according to authorities. The other suspects eluded immediate capture.

Detectives described the individuals as white males in their late teens or 20s with dark hair. They are possibly of Russian or Central Asian descent, the PPD added.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251. Tipsters can also call or text 215-686-TIPS (8477).

Bakiev has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and two counts of rape, robbery, burglary, conspiracy, aggravated indecent assault without consent, false imprisonment and other offenses.

He is being held on $850,000 bail, of which he must post 10% to be released, according to court documents. The public defender’s association, which is representing Bakiev, declined to comment on the charges.
