PRISM Quartet Listening Party with Tom Moon

Posted

Join the PRISM Quartet and moderator Tom Moon, author of the New York Times bestseller 1,000 Recordings to Hear Before You Die, for a Listening Party and reception on Thursday, November 12 at 8 PM at the Germantown Branch of Settlement Music School in Philadelphia.

We’ll be spinning and discussing PRISM’s recent and upcoming albums, including our newest release, Generate Music. The evening will also feature a special live performance by PRISM of Martin Bresnick’s Every Thing Must Go and an excerpt from Burning Maps, and Moons, a work in progress by Paola Prestini. The Bresnick performance is a preview of And I Always Thought, an 80th birthday celebration concert for Martin at Merkin Hall in New York City on November 13.

And that’s not all: PRISM’s own Matthew Levy will give a short behind-the-scenes presentation on mixing and mastering the group’s many recordings for its in-house label, XAS Records.
