Philadelphia 76ers fans will have a chance to meet star guard Tyrese Maxey during a free basketball-themed celebration at the Xfinity Store in Center City on Thursday, Oct. 15.
The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m. at 1429 Walnut St., with Maxey scheduled to appear for a meet-and-greet from 6 to 7 p.m. The Sixers' mascot, Franklin, is also expected to make an appearance.
Fans can participate in basketball-themed challenges, interactive activities and giveaways throughout the evening, with appearances by Franklin and 76ers ENT. Xfinity Members will also have access to free, exclusive 76ers-inspired merchandise designed by artist David Flores, while supplies last, and opportunities for priority access to meet Maxey.
Attendees can also explore Xfinity's WiFi, mobile, entertainment and home security products, including features designed to help fans watch and follow their favorite teams.
The event is part of the Sixers' Blue Week celebration, a nine-day series of fan activities beginning Oct. 13 ahead of the team's season opener against the Knicks on Oct. 20 and home opener against the Cavaliers on Oct. 22.
The celebration also includes ticket and jersey giveaways, a T-shirt bus tour across Philadelphia and a season tip-off watch party at Stateside Live!
Fans can find a full schedule of Blue Week activities at Sixers.com.
Admission to Thursday's event is free and open to the public, though priority access to the Maxey meet-and-greet will be available through Xfinity Membership.
