Ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season, the Philadelphia 76ers are seeking to improve upon a dreadful performance in the previous year. A near-unheard-of rash of injuries spread through the locker room like wildfire, and not only sank any chances of competing for a championship that season, but drastically changed the way the public views the team's stars and their ability moving forward.
Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George all saw their struggles throughout the year in various ways, all under an umbrella of injury. As they look to reestablish themselves as some of the best in the league, HoopsHype has released its prediction for how the top 100 players in the NBA will shape out this year.
All three of Philadelphia's stars made the cut; they were also the only Sixers to do so.
Paul George came in as the 82nd-ranked player in the NBA, sitting one spot behind former Sixer Tobias Harris, something that will surely incense Philly fans.
Tyrese Maxey ranked just outside the top 30 at 31, behind Boston Celtics star role player Derrick White. Maxey falling on this list is not questionable, but to fall past White while averaging more assists, more steals, and ten points more per game while shooting a similar field goal percentage could be questioned.
Finally, Joel Embiid, who was limited to just 19 games last season and remains with a sea of questions surrounding his health and ability, comes in at number 23 on this list, one spot behind Kevin Durant. Unfortunately, there's no telling which Embiid we will see this season, especially as both he and the team remain secretive about his health.
Still, the hopeful outcome for all three players is that by this time next year, they will all appear a good deal higher on this list. Though more important is the trio playing at a level capable of competing for an NBA Championship.
