Prosecutors have charged a 34-year-old woman with murder after her alleged romantic partner was found dead earlier this month inside an East Germantown apartment.

Police officers, responding to a call about a hospital case, found 37-year-old Dorakoma Lim wrapped in a blanket and bound with duct tape inside a closet of a third-floor apartment Oct. 1 on the 600 block of E. Chelten Avenue, the District Attorney’s Office said Thursday. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled that Lim died of multiple stab wounds, according to law enforcement officials, and court documents obtained by Metro indicate that investigators believe he was attacked sometime between Sept. 25 and Oct 1.

Detectives found out that Lim had been in an on-again, off-again relationship with 34-year-old Marianne L. Wright, prosecutors said. A witness told police that Wright had contacted them for help carrying Lim to the hospital and indicated that he was alive shortly before dialing 911, according to the DA’s Office.

Law enforcement has not detailed what may have led up to the killing, though the motive has been described as domestic.

Wright was charged with murder, possession of an instrument of crime and abuse of a corpse. She is being held without bail, and an initial preliminary hearing date is set for Oct. 19. The Defender Association, which is representing her, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
